Day 2: Rio de Janeiro

Today we will experience an exhilarating day, filled with the exploration of Rio de Janeiro's signature landmarks.

Our journey commences with a visit to the iconic Corcovado Mountain, famed for housing the globally recognized Christ the Redeemer statue. We'll ascend to the mountain's peak, where we are greeted by breathtaking panoramic views that span across Rio's stunning cityscape, the glittering ocean, and the far-reaching horizon. We will make a stop for lunch to relax and enjoy a delicious barbeque.

Next, we'll switch gears and head to Sugar Loaf Mountain, one of the city's most distinctive natural landmarks. Here, we'll take a thrilling cable car ride to the top. From this vantage point, we'll witness a remarkable, 360-degree view of the city, including sights of Copacabana Beach, the Guanabara Bay, and the majestic Christ the Redeemer in the distance.

  • Breakfast
  • Full day Corcovado and Sugar Loaf tour with a local guide, including private transportation
  • BBQ lunch

Day 3: Rio de Janeiro - Carnival Parade

Our immersion into Rio's culture and energy continues as we set out to explore more of the city with a local guide. We'll delve into the city's heart, experiencing its pulse and rhythm first-hand, unearthing hidden gems and enthralling stories.

During the afternoon we will join some of the best "bloco da rua" to start getting into the Carnival vibes.

As night descends, we'll ready ourselves for an experience of a lifetime - the legendary Sambadrome Parade, the main event of the Rio Carnival. We will be enjoying the Special Group parades, featuring the best of the best of all the Samba schools in Rio de Janeiro. Being the top event, it is telecasted worldwide and is considered the high point of carnival not only in Brazil, but around the world.

The Sambadrome, an architectural marvel designed by Oscar Niemeyer, will be our stage for the evening. We'll watch this magical event from our reserved seats in a prime location offering an up-close view of the parade.

Here, the infectious rhythm of samba drums will guide our journey into the soul of the Carnival. Thousands of beautifully costumed dancers from competing samba schools will parade through the Sambadrome, their performances an intoxicating blend of music, dance, creativity, and passion. This grand spectacle is a competition, each school vying for the coveted title of Carnival Champion with their unique samba enredo (theme song), choreography, and extravagant floats.

Prepare to be swept up in the whirlwind of energy and color as the city comes alive in a celebration like no other. The heart-pounding rhythms, the stunning costumes, the vibrant energy of the crowd - the Sambadrome Parade is a sensory feast, a testament to Rio's spirit and the epitome of the Carnival experience.

We'll lounge on the sun-kissed sands, watch the locals play a lively game of futevôlei (a blend of volleyball and football, unique to Brazil), or simply bask in the vibrant atmosphere.

What Seeka Travelers Are Saying

It's an amazing way to travel and connect with new people.
In my case, it's been the perfect chance to explore a destination I otherwise wouldn't have dared to venture to.

Traveling to Brazil with Seeka Travel was the best decision I've ever made. The Rio Carnival is an experience that you must live at least once in a lifetime, it exceeded all my expectations.

Outstanding! It was my first trip of this kind, and it won't be the last. The group was fantastic, and the coordinator made sure to create a positive vibe from the first minute. Besides, he took us to some very local restaurants and places, off the beaten path... simply top-notch!

I'd been on several group trips with other companies before, but Seeka Travel was unparalleled. The fact that the whole group was gay made me feel more comfortable than ever. They took us to hotels and places specially for LGBT, I loved it!

I'd highlight the excellent organization. Our coordinator was attentive to us at all times, ensuring that everything flowed perfectly. The hotels were luxurious, and the destinations spectacular. The group I traveled with was great, and we bonded well. Thanks!

Highly recommended. Even before the trip, I had a lot of conversations with the SeekaTravel team, and they were very kind and fast in answering all my questions.
